Portland Birth Photographer Natalie Broders takes 1st place in international photography competition
Natalie Broders, Portland birth photographer, was awarded 1st place in the international photography competition Birth & Beyond Photography Awards for the photo below, titled Three Sisters.
Natalie said this about the photograph:
“This moment happened organically, with the mother curled up in bed with her two older daughters and her newborn. She had labored all throughout the night, and her baby was born at dawn. Bathed in beautiful morning light, the older girls snuggled up with their mother as they met their newborn sister for the first time. I am truly honored to have received the 1st place award for my photo. Thank you!”

Natalie Broders is a birth photographer, birth filmmaker and birth doula located in Portland, Oregon. She lives on a farm with her husband and 2 kids. They raise chickens and love to garden. Natalie loves babywearing, cloth diapering and is passionate about her work as an advocate for birthing people. She had one of her babies at a birth center and her second baby was born at home, in water.
